Puppy Dog Eyes

How could I forget this one...I think she will break a lot of hearts with that look.

It's been a while....

It's been a while since I last posted. I guess my need to share has been largely satisfied by posting to Facebook (sorry Google!). Anyway, here are a few random but recent pictures. I think I will resume the blog...

Maui, December 2011

Maddie, how do you get in bikini shape on a diet of whole milk, cheese and candy?

Interesting camera angle...Everyone is strangely connected in this picture.
Thomas, you really need to limit your sun exposure. You now have more freckles than Lindsay Lohan.
Whatcha looking at, girl?
Frolicking is severely underrated...

Tommy's Preschool Picture

When I was in elementary school, I remember teasing the little boys who came to school looking like they just rolled out of bed with their hair sticking straight up in all directions. I wondered how their mothers could send them to school looking so unkempt. So when Thomas was born, I vowed to never send him to school with his hair uncombed. I have obviously failed.

Underwood Family Farm

Ed and I played hooky from work on day and we visited the Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark. It's a rather long drive, but well worth it considering it has everything that you would associate with the fall season all in one place. Here, Thomas is standing on the top of a rather tall haystack.
The obligatory pumpkin patch photo.
Maddie, people can't take you seriously if you've got your belly bulge out there...

Aww, baby, you've got some big shoes to fill!!!

Madeline

There is a profound sadness to this expression that makes me want to cry. Maybe I'm reading into it too much. Maybe she's just wondering where she put her binky.

Got Milk?

Chocolate milk has the ability to calm even the most unruly group of toddlers. Here they are, after tearing the Park household to shreds, quietly and innocently sipping away.

Madeline, almost 21 months old!

You can almost see an adult face in this picture. Madeline is getting so big now, she no longer looks like a baby, except that she still wears diapers. There are a few things I can tell about her personality already. She is not a complainer or a whiner. She is also not a cry baby. She pretty much goes with the flow and is easy going. She does NOT like, however, when people interfere with her will and she will let you know that...

Dapper Thomas

Thomas waits patiently on the steps of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Today is a big day for him! He is the ring bearer for Auntie Gina and Uncle Al's wedding!

Thomas seems to be aware of his dapper self. He relished being the center of attention, at least until the bride came into the picture...

Of course, he was the apple of his mother's *closed* eyes the entire time!

Hopefully, Maddie will someday have the spotlight as well...

No matter how hard they fight

they do love each other.

Hawaiian sunset peeping from the sea...

So beautiful, that it looks unreal. Sunsets like these make me want to move to Hawaii...

Handsome Michael and his proud mama!

Not bad for a group photo - 2 out of 6 people are actually looking at the camera!

If only moments could last a lifetime...

Hawaii, beautiful.

Double-take

I'll have to rent this movie again, but I recall the personalities being very similar as well.

Our Trip to Korea - June 2011

If you enjoy a nice challenge, try a 13.5 hour international flight to Korea with two active toddlers. Here they are, sandwiched between a very tired mommy and daddy in the middle aisle!

Notice the bandage on Tommy's forehead. This was the result of an unfortunate encounter between his head and the corner of a chair. It happened during a moment of inattention, as it seems to always be the case, while mommy and daddy were scrambling to gather our gear and board the plane!

Grandpa was quite enamored by Maddie.

These pictures crack me up. I mean, seriously, are you guys really that tired? Sheesh. Try walking a mile in my shoes...

Maddie takes a spill...

Maddie likes to run, but she is not very good at it, as evidenced by these pictures. Unlike her cautious brother, Maddie is very clumsy, an attribute which her maternal Grandmother has taken responsibility for.

I expect that her Grandma from Korea will be calling us as soon as she sees these pictures. LOL.
